2024 High Jewellery Collection: DOLMABAHCE

Step into the world of DOLMABAHCE with Simone Jewels’ latest collection, as the brand pays homage to the majestic Dolmabahçe Palace. Built during the height of the Ottoman Empire, the Dolmabahçe Palace, known for its artistic influences, stands as a testament to the empire's unparalleled stateliness in the 14th and 15th centuries.

Founder and Executive Creative Director Simone Ng's journey to the palace sparked the inception of this remarkable collection. Inspired by the rich architectural heritage of the Ottoman Empire, this collection encapsulates the fusion of tradition and modernity, reimagining the timeless beauty of one of Istanbul's most iconic landmarks.

Simone discovered captivating histories in the echoes of Dolmabahçe's storied halls. The palace's eclectic design journey mirrors the diverse tastes of its creators, resulting in a breathtaking mosaic of architectural elements that stand as a unique symbol of the palace's dynamic history. Simone dreams of transforming this triumph of legendary heritage, created and shaped by different individualities, into one-in-the-world wearable art.

Drawing inspiration from the palace’s ornate interiors, DOLMABAHCE features delicate curvilinear forms and neoclassical and rococo styles, evoking an era of refined sophistication. The DOLMABAHCE collection focuses on three main inspirations:

The Majestic Mosaic - creations that mirror the opulence and artistic tile work of the palace's ornate ceilings and mosaic designs are crafted precisely using special techniques such as marquetry to evoke a sense of palatial elegance in detail. Each micro-size piece of gemstone used in the marquetry is hand cut and jigsaw puzzles into the jewellery, creating a smooth and beautiful blend of subtle colours in the finishing.

The Grand Chandelier - the grand chandelier, notably the world's largest Bohemian crystal chandelier, is an impressive artwork that hangs above the Ceremonial Hall. This breathtaking structure has inspired cascading and intricate designs, such as floating gems encased in three-dimensional structures. It evokes quiet elegance on another level.

The Gates to Bosphorus - inspired by the impressive gate of the palace that overlooks the Bosphorus River, the essence of its shape and pattern is translated into intricate metalwork encrusted with gemstones, creating stunning transformable jewellery pieces that are more than what meets the eye.
